A Work in Progress...
Ok. This is it so far. I painted it with oil paint and pallet knifes. I could just leave it like this, but I want to see what you guys think first. I was originaly intending to put a tiny wee silouette of a ship on the horizon. The idea was that it would demonstrate how helpless and small we are next to nature as a whole. Now that I've done all this , i'm not so sure about the boat. What do you think? Also, what do you think of the painting being entirely blue? And how do you find the waves in the foreground.

thats really good dave, love it. i'm not sure about the boat though hmm, you could always try it and then paint over it lol.
and yes it looks really good entirely blue and the waves are awsome
This is why I posted it. To get interesting comments like these. Good point Stu, I could just try the boat and then paint over it - why the hell didn't I think of that? You're right Andy, it does look like a big hand. Wasn't intentional though. What was intentional though was trying to make the clouds lead your eye to that light area where I would put the boat, just like you realised. I mostly painted the clouds from my imagination, (dont tell Mrs H) so I could do that.
here dave i did this to help you picture it (if you already havent done something yet)

Thanks very much Stuart! After seeing that I'm definitely gonna put a boat in.
Thats really awesome dave! I dont have any helpful comments , but i like the boat representing the idea of how helpless we are in nature. Nice work!!!
