Here is an oil painting I have completed of a view I recorded when on holiday in Devon. I used the scene to experiment with Paul Cézanne's techniques , seeing things in only patches of colour and not objects, as if a man who was blind all his life was made to see for the first time. And d'ya know, I think it works

Currently I am experimenting with techniques of other artists as I read about them, one by one. This is in fact my first oil painting and you will probably notice it is inspired by Vincent van Gogh. It shows a scene of wheat fields in Cornwall I saw when on holiday in the area.
